What a wedding stylist actually does

One person thinking about how all of it looks

Most couples have three or four functions to dress for, sometimes more, plus family looks to figure out. I plan all of it: what you wear, what reads well on camera, how it photographs, and how the looks hang together across the wedding.

Whether we design pieces from scratch or pull together what's already out there, the job is the same — make sure you look like the best version of yourself at every event, without the stress landing on you.

Every event covered

From the roka to the reception

A different look for each function, planned so they feel like one story rather than six separate outfits.

Roka & Engagement

The first family impression — polished, personal, and a hint of what's to come.

Mehendi

Relaxed and colourful, in something you can sit, laugh and get hennaed in for hours.

Haldi

Easy, fuss-free and forgiving — built for turmeric, flowers and a lot of photos.

Sangeet

Your big-entrance, dance-all-night look, with movement and shine that read on stage.

The Wedding

The look everything builds toward — every detail tested, fitted and ready in advance.

Reception

A final change of pace, often a little more modern, to close the celebration.

The Process

From first meeting to the big day

1

We sit down together

We talk through what you have in mind and how you both like to dress. If the family wants coordinated looks, I'll meet them too.

2

We shop for each event

I point you to the right boutiques and steer the colours, fabrics and silhouettes for the look we're building.

3

We get the fit right

I set up the fittings so everything sits properly, handling alterations or flagging them to your designer.

4

We pull the details together

Safa, veil, jewellery, shoes — chosen so they go with the outfit rather than fight it.

5

I coordinate everyone else

Mehendi, hair, makeup, the dress team — all on the same page so the whole look holds together.

6

We do a full look test

A run-through before the day, so you walk in already sure of exactly how you look.

On-the-day styling

What's included

Everything, so you're not chasing it

  • Outfits planned for every function
  • Custom design or curated shopping
  • All fittings and alterations managed
  • Jewellery, footwear and accessories
  • Hair and makeup coordination
  • Vendor timelines kept on track
  • A full look test before the day
  • Getting dressed, on the day itself

And I'm there on the day to get you dressed, manage the changes between functions, and fix whatever needs fixing — a pin here, a drape there.

Good to know

Questions brides usually ask

Ideally three to six months before the wedding, especially if we're designing outfits. But if your date is sooner, talk to me anyway — I've pulled looks together on tighter timelines.

Both. Some brides want pieces made; others want help choosing from designers and boutiques. We'll do whatever suits your taste, timeline and budget.

Yes. I dress both of you and can coordinate family looks if you'd like, so everything sits together across the events.

Yes — I work with couples across India and travel for the wedding when needed. We'll sort out the details when we talk.

It depends on your events and how hands-on you'd like me to be, so there's no fixed price. Get in touch and I'll give you a clear idea.

Only a handful each season. I'd rather do a few weddings properly than spread myself thin.

Send me your dates and the functions you're planning, and we'll take it from there.
